Abstract: Drought,shortage of water and the weak eco-environment are problems existing in Northwest China.Water source is the main domination factor to the eco-environment in this region.lrrigation had not only positive but also negative effects on eco-environment.Then eco-environmental problems of the whole drainage area should be taken into account when making programmes for utilization of water resources in order to reach the aims of sustainable and coordinated development of environment and economy.
